Day 1

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Our safari guide will meet and pick you up early in the morning from Entebbe airport or Hotel or Kampala and begin the scenic journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in western Uganda.

Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful countryside views, local villages, tea plantations, and rolling hills and foothills of the Rwenzori mountains national park, Stop at the Equator for photos and a short break on your way through the national park.

You will arrive at the park in the evening, check in to your lodge, and relax while enjoying views of the savannah landscape. Depending on arrival time, you may enjoy a short evening game drive.

After your morning breakfast, embark on a morning game drive on the Kasenyi plains in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Spot elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs, topis, lions, and a variety of other wildlife while they are most active in the cool morning hours.

After lunch, enjoy a relaxing afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. Observe large herds of hippos and elephants along the riverbanks, watch crocodiles bask in the sun, and spot countless bird species. The cruise offers excellent photography opportunities and a unique perspective on the park’s wildlife.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura & Transfer to Bwindi

Chimpanzee Trekking in Kyambura & Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, head to Kyambura Gorge for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. The gorge is often called the “Valley of Apes” because of its thick forest hidden inside the savannah plains.

With guidance from experienced rangers, you will hike through the forest searching for chimpanzees. Once found, you will spend one hour observing them as they feed, groom, and move through the trees.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and then begin your journey south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The drive offers stunning views of hills, forests, and traditional villages in southwestern Uganda.

Arrival will be in the evening with time to relax and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 4

Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today is the highlight of the safari — mountain gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers. You will then enter the dense restraint in search of a habituated gorilla family.

The trek can take anywhere from 1 to 5 hours, depending on where the gorillas are located. Once you find them, you will spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Watching them interact, feed, and care for their young is an unforgettable wildlife experience.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to the peaceful Lake Bunyonyi, one of the most beautiful lakes in Africa.

Relax at the lodge and enjoy the cool evening views over the lake and surrounding terraced hills.

Lake Bunyonyi Canoe Experience & Return to Entebbe

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing canoe experience on Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is famous for its calm waters and many small islands including the punishment island. Your guide will share stories and history about the islands and local communities as this is a peaceful remarkable and beautiful way to end your safari.

After the canoe ride, begin the journey back to Entebbe or Kampala with lunch along the way or just at the Equator crossing in Kayabwe. You will arrive in the evening, marking the end of your memorable Uganda safari.
