Day 1

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge in Arusha or Moshi and driven to Marangu Gate for registration before beginning your trek. The hike starts through a lush rainforest, where you may spot playful monkeys and colorful birdlife along the trail.

As you ascend, the cool, misty air and towering trees create a magical atmosphere. After a rewarding 4–5 hour hike, you will arrive at Mandara Hut, where you can relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and spend the night.

After a hearty breakfast, set out on a scenic trek through the stunning moorland zone. As you ascend, enjoy panoramic views of Mount Kilimanjaro’s towering peaks and vast landscapes. The trail transitions from lush vegetation to open terrain dotted with giant lobelias and groundsels, unique to this high-altitude environment.

Keep an eye out for alpine flora and occasional wildlife along the way. After a rewarding day of trekking, arrive at Horombo Hut, where you can relax, refuel, and enjoy an overnight stay surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Day 3

After an energizing breakfast, continue your ascent as the landscape shifts dramatically from moorland to a stark alpine desert. Vegetation thins out, replaced by vast, rugged terrain under cooler, drier conditions, making the climb more challenging yet rewarding.

As you gain altitude, take in sweeping views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. By late afternoon, you will arrive at Kibo Hut, where you’ll rest, refuel, and prepare for the final summit push under the starlit sky.

The trail leads to Marangu Gate, where you will complete your trek and receive your well-earned summit certificate as a testament to your achievement. Here, you'll bid farewell to your mountain crew before being transferred back to your hotel in Moshi or Arusha town, where you can relax and reflect on your incredible journey up Kilimanjaro.
