Your safari adventure begins with an early-morning pickup from your hotel or the Nairobi airport, followed by a scenic drive north through Kenya’s changing landscapes toward the rugged beauty of Samburu National Reserve. As you travel, you will pass through local towns, farmlands, and semi-arid countryside, giving you a glimpse of northern Kenya’s unique charm. You will arrive at your safari lodge or camp in time for lunch and check-in. After some time to relax and settle in, head out for your first afternoon game drive in Samburu, a reserve known for its distinctive wildlife, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx, alongside elephants, lions, and leopards. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Naivasha, where you will glide past hippos and spot a variety of birdlife along the shores.
