Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park & Batwa Cultural Experience

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport (EBB), you will be warmly welcomed by a professional guide from Naleyo Tours and Travel, who will brief you about your upcoming adventure.

You will then embark on a scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a drive of approximately 7 hours. Though it is a long journey, it is incredibly rewarding—taking you through Uganda’s ever-changing landscapes, from lush tropical rainforests and expansive savannah plains to the breathtaking terraced hills of Kigezi, often referred to as the “Switzerland of East Africa.”

You will enjoy a lunch stop along the way before continuing to Bwindi, arriving in the late afternoon. After checking in at your lodge, you will head out for a memorable Batwa cultural experience, where you will gain insight into the lives of the indigenous forest people who once lived in harmony with the jungle. This immersive encounter offers a deeper cultural connection to the region and its history.

Gorilla Trekking Experience & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a detailed briefing by experienced rangers and trackers on the guidelines for gorilla trekking.

Venture into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take anywhere between 1 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas, as you navigate through thick vegetation, steep slopes, and misty forest trails. While physically demanding, the experience is incredibly rewarding.

Coming face to face with a family of mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is a truly humbling and unforgettable moment. You will spend one magical hour observing their behavior.

After the trek, you will return to the lodge for refreshments before transferring to the stunning Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most beautiful and serene lakes, dotted with lush green islands.

Upon arrival, relax, or enjoy an optional canoe ride on the calm waters as the sun sets over the hills.

Return to Entebbe / Kampala via the Equator

After breakfast, you will begin your journey back to Entebbe/Kampala, carrying with you unforgettable memories of your gorilla trekking adventure.

You will enjoy a lunch stop en route and make a memorable stop at the Equator Line, where you can take photos, participate in simple water experiments, and browse local craft shops for souvenirs.

This final leg of the journey offers another chance to take in Uganda’s scenic countryside before arriving in Entebbe in the late afternoon. You will then be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport.
