Enjoy early morning pickup from your accommodation in Johannesburg (Sandton or nearby areas) before traveling approximately 60–90 minutes to Dinokeng Game Reserve. Upon arrival, meet your qualified and armed trails guide for a safety briefing before setting off on your 2.5–3 hour guided bush walk. Conducted exclusively in the morning for optimal conditions, this experience allows you to explore the reserve on foot, focusing on tracks, plants, insects, and the smaller details often missed on game drives. Your guide will share fascinating insights into the ecosystem, animal behavior, and the delicate balance of nature. While large wildlife may be encountered, the emphasis is on a safe, respectful, and immersive experience. After the walk, return to the lodge and transfer back to Johannesburg, arriving late morning.
