Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve

Start your journey with an early morning departure to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of the few remaining ecosystems where wildlife continues to thrive in vast, natural numbers as it once did across Africa’s great plains. As the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is globally celebrated for its dramatic seasonal migration, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the savannah in search of fresh grazing, closely trailed by predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. The sweeping landscapes offer breathtaking views and unforgettable wildlife encounters throughout the day. You will arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch and a short rest before heading out for an exciting afternoon game drive. As the sun sets over the golden plains, return for dinner and a comfortable overnight stay at your lodge or campsite, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

After breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch to enjoy in the heart of the wilderness. This remarkable reserve is famous for its striking black-maned lions and exceptionally rich wildlife population, offering one of the best chances to encounter the Big Five within a single game drive. The open landscapes allow close and unforgettable wildlife viewing, where cheetahs are often remarkably relaxed—sometimes resting in the shade of safari vehicles or even climbing onto them for a better vantage point as they scan the plains for prey.

Bird enthusiasts will also be delighted, as the area hosts nearly 500 recorded bird species. These include numerous eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, storks, bustards, and colorful sunbirds. Among the highlights is the Kori bustard, recognized as the heaviest flying bird in the world. The rich diversity of wildlife and birdlife ensures a truly immersive safari experience. L.

Spend two unforgettable days exploring the vast Serengeti with a flexible schedule and unlimited game drive mileage, allowing you to follow wildlife activity wherever it leads. Covering approximately 18,000 sq km, this iconic park is home to over two million large mammals, including vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles.

The abundance of prey attracts an impressive range of predators such as lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and leopards, creating dramatic wildlife encounters throughout the day. Smaller animals like jackals, mongooses, baboons, foxes, and hyraxes add to the rich ecosystem, while nearly 500 bird species fill the skies.
