Day 1
Kampala Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Murchison Falls National Park
Kampala Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Murchison Falls National Park
Your Uganda safari begins with an early hotel pickup from Kampala or Entebbe. Your driver-guide heads north through the safari is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, you venture into the bush to track these magnificent animals at close range. Rhino tracking typically takes 1–2 hours and offers intimate, unhurried encounters that game-drive-based rhino experiences simply cannot match.
After lunch, continue north to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, make your first stop at the Top of Murchison Falls — the point where the entire volume of the River Nile is forced through a rocky gorge just 7 metres wide before plunging 43 metres into the churning pool below. Standing at the viewpoint as the spray rises and the thunder of the water fills the air is one of the great sensory experiences of any Africa safari. Check in to Heritage Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Murchison Falls NP Nile Boat Cruise Transfer to Kibale NP
Murchison Falls NP Nile Boat Cruise Transfer to Kibale NP
Rise early for one of the finest wildlife experiences in East Africa: the Nile River boat cruise from Paraa to the base of Murchison Falls. Boarding the launch, you cruise upstream along the Victoria Nile as the savannah comes to life on both banks. The wildlife on this section of the river is exceptional — schools of hippos surface alongside the boat, enormous Nile crocodiles bask on sandy beaches just meters away, and herds of elephants and buffaloes wade to the water’s edge to drink.
As you approach Murchison Falls from the water, the roar becomes audible long before the falls come into view, building to a crescendo as the boat reaches the base of the falls and the spray soaks the air around you.
Return to the lodge for a late breakfast, then check out and begin the drive south toward Kibale National Park in the late afternoon. Check in to Kibale Forest Camp as evening falls over the forest and the night sounds of the rainforest begin.

Chimpanzee Trekking, Kibale NP Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP
Kibale National Park is known as the Primate Capital of the World — a designation it has fully earned, with over 1,500 chimpanzees and 12 other primate species living within its ancient tropical rainforest. After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for your Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing before entering the forest with your ranger-guide.
The chimpanzee trek follows the previous night’s nest sites — your ranger tracks the group’s movement through the forest using knowledge built up over years of habituating these animals. The trek typically lasts 2–4 hours. When you find the chimpanzees, you have a full, unhurried hour with the habituated group at close range — close enough to hear their breathing, watch their facial expressions.
Return to the lodge for lunch and check-out, then drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for a late afternoon game drive through the Kasenyi plains — one of the park’s prime lion and kob territories.

Queen Elizabeth NP Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Cruise Bwindi
Your morning begins with a sunrise game drive across the northern Kasenyi circuit, where lion prides hunt across open grassland and massive buffalo herds drift through the acacia woodland. Look for leopards resting in trees, hyenas returning from night hunts, and the park’s famous elephant herds moving between the park and the Kazinga Channel.
After lunch at the lodge, embark on the Kazinga Channel boat cruise — a 2-hour journey along the 40-kilometre channel connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. The Kazinga Channel hosts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos — frequently seen in pods of dozens along the banks at close range. This is one of the finest boat-based wildlife experiences in East Africa.
After the cruise, your driver begins the transit to Bwindi, arriving at Gorilla Bluff Lodge in the cool highland air of the Bwindi forest edge as evening falls.

Day 5
Mountain Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Mountain Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After a hearty early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for your Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing. The ranger team divides guests into groups of maximum eight and assigns each group a habituated gorilla family. The trek into Bwindi’s ancient forest begins a journey through dense vegetation and up steep jungle slopes that can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on where the gorillas have ranged overnight.
When you find the gorilla family, time stops. A full, uninterrupted hour at close range with a habituated mountain gorilla family is unlike any other wildlife encounter on earth. Silverback males the size of wardrobes move with extraordinary gentleness.
Return to park headquarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificate a well-earned memento of an experience that very few people on earth have shared. Return to the lodge for lunch, an afternoon of rest and reflection in the forest, and a final safari dinner.
