Day 2

After breakfast, you will set out for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, allowing you to explore the reserve from morning to late afternoon without interruption. The park is famous for its striking black-maned lions, often seen resting under acacia trees or surveying the plains. After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, travelling south across the equator into the Great Rift Valley. This renowned park surrounds the shimmering alkaline waters of Lake Nakuru, celebrated worldwide for its spectacular flamingo populations. The lake often hosts vast flocks that gather along the shoreline, creating a breathtaking ribbon of pink that stretches for miles. Beyond its birdlife, the park is an important rhino sanctuary, protecting both black and white rhinos within its secure boundaries. Day 4

Aberdare National Park

An early morning departure takes you to Aberdare National Park, with a scenic drive through Kenya’s central highlands. Along the way, you will enjoy breathtaking views of rolling tea fields and lush coffee plantations that define this fertile region. A stop is made at Karatina Market, one of the largest open-air markets in East Africa, where you can experience vibrant local trade and culture.

You then continue your journey into the misty forests of Aberdare National Park, a haven of rich biodiversity. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, black rhinos, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, warthogs, bushbucks, and different species of monkeys such as colobus and baboons. Rare and elusive animals like the bongo, giant forest hog, serval cat, African wild cat, civet, and blue duiker also inhabit these dense forests.
