Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly received by your professional guide from Zamunda Travels. After a short briefing about your safari, you will be transferred to your hotel in Kigali.

Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Bwindi

After breakfast, embark on a guided city tour of Kigali. Highlights may include the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local markets, and artisan centers, offering cultural insight into Rwanda’s history and resilience.

Later, begin your scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. You will cross the border and continue through rolling hills, terraced landscapes, and rural communities.

Arrive in the evening and check into your lodge near Bwindi Forest. Relax and prepare for the next day’s highlight gorilla trekking.

Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking.

Guided by experienced rangers, you will trek through dense forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one magical hour observing them as they feed, play, and interact an unforgettable and life-changing experience.

After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa’s most beautiful lakes. Relax by the lakeside and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Community Experience

After breakfast, head into Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking.

This exciting trek allows you to observe chimpanzees in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and communicate. Kibale is one of the best places in Africa for primate encounters.

In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided walk. This area is rich in birdlife and primates and offers cultural interactions with the local community.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
