Day 1
Your adventure begins and end right at your hotel in Kisoro, where you will meet your guide giving you insights into the journey ahead and what to expect during the experience,
Experience a vibrant cultural immersion with a warm welcome of local songs and folktales by the Bafumbira people, followed by hands-on Runonko construction using clay and natural materials, and a traditional fire-starting workshop. As evening falls, gather around the fire to roast freshly harvested potatoes and enjoy fireside storytelling, where locals share tales of heritage, grazing life, and tradition.
Experience the guided bush walks by our eco-tour guide, simulating grazing and animal tracking while foraging seasonal foods. Join a lively cook-off, share stories under trees, and relax with reflection time. Unique touches include a “Potato Passport,” storytelling theatre by local youth, and a Runonko tales' booklet—making this more than an experience, but a celebration of culture, connection, and tradition.
