Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Get picked up by your tour guide from Kigali airport or the hotel where you are staying in Kigali. After only 2 hours of driving, you will reach the lodge. The lodge has been built using environmentally friendly local materials such as bamboos made fitted by local community workmanship.

Gorilla Tracking in Volcanoes National Park

Start early and track one of the habituated gorilla groups that can tolerate the presence of humans for a brief period every day. The time to track the gorillas can take as little as half an hour to as much as 8 hours!
Your track will be an exciting journey along forested slopes, entwined vines, bushes and bamboo before you eventually reach the gorillas’ current location.
Your guide will point out signs of previous gorilla activity, including dung, nests and chewed bamboo shoots. Once the gorillas have been located, you will be allowed a maximum of one hour with them. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a humbling and emotional experience. This is a fantastic and privileged opportunity to get up close and personal with Rwanda’s own ‘Gorillas in the Mist’.

Transfer back to Kigali

After an early breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and begin your journey back to Kigali. The drive offers scenic views of rolling hills, rural landscapes, and local communities along the way.
You will have a stopover for lunch en route before continuing to Kigali International Airport. Upon arrival, ensure that you check in at least 2 hours before your scheduled departure time for a smooth travel process.
This marks the end of your safari, leaving you with memorable experiences from your journey.
