Day of Arrival

Upon arrival in Luanda, you will be warmly welcomed with a meet-and-greet at the airport before being transferred privately to your hotel for check-in.

Thereafter, set out on a guided city tour of Luanda, beginning with a panoramic drive along the scenic Luanda Bay. En route, pass notable landmarks including the National Bank of Angola, the Monument to the Unknown Soldier, and the National Assembly of Angola.

Continue with a visit to the distinctive Iron Palace, believed to have been designed by Gustave Eiffel, followed by a walking tour along Rua dos Mercadores, one of the oldest streets in the city, rich in colonial heritage and character. The tour concludes at the historic Fortress of São Miguel, where you can enjoy sweeping views over the city and coastline.

A late lunch will be served at a local restaurant, after which you will be transferred back to your hotel to relax and unwind.

Luanda to Malange

Depart this morning from Luanda, heading to the inland province of Malanje on a scenic drive of approximately 5–6 hours. Along the way, you will stop in Dondo to enjoy a light lunch and a short break, offering a chance to stretch your legs and take in the local surroundings.

Continuing onward, the landscape gradually transforms as you approach the Malanje region. Upon arrival, you will visit the striking Pungo Andongo, a collection of dramatic granite rock formations steeped in history and local legend. Here, you can take in sweeping panoramic views and capture memorable photographs of this iconic natural landmark.

Thereafter, you will proceed to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before settling in for an overnight stay.

Explore Malange

A relax day fully dedicated to the spectacular Calandula waterfalls. The morning begins at the panoramic viewpoint (Miradouro), with time to walk to the top and enjoy breathtaking views over the falls.

We then continue to the opposite bank, on the Pousada side, offering excellent photo opportunities and optional walks to the base of the falls to the natural pools of the Lucala River.

Mid-afternoon return to the hotel for overnight.

Malange to Luanda

Early this morning, after a relaxed breakfast, you will depart for Luanda, travelling via Ndalatando. This scenic journey offers a glimpse into Angola’s diverse landscapes, with rolling countryside and small local villages along the way, providing an authentic sense of the region’s character and daily life.
You are expected to arrive in Luanda by mid-afternoon, where you will be transferred to your hotel for check-in. After some time to settle in and unwind, the remainder of the day is at leisure. You may choose to relax at the hotel or explore the vibrant surroundings at your own pace. Enjoy a free evening before retiring for an overnight stay.

Flight to Lubango

At a time to be advised, you will be transferred from your hotel to Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport for check-in and your scheduled southbound flight to Huíla Province. This short flight offers a transition from the coastal capital to the elevated landscapes of southern Angola.

Upon arrival at Lubango, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Set in Angola’s highlands, Lubango is known for its milder climate and scenic surroundings, providing a refreshing contrast to the heat of Luanda.

The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you time to relax, acclimatise, and enjoy the cooler temperatures. You may wish to unwind at the hotel or take a gentle stroll to soak in the laid-back atmosphere of this charming highland city before settling in for the evening.

Lubango to Namibe

After breakfast in Lubango, depart to explore its main highlights. Visit the dramatic Tundavala Gap, offering sweeping views over the escarpment, followed by the iconic Cristo Rei of Lubango overlooking the city.

Continue along the famous Serra da Leba Pass, known for its scenic curves and panoramic mountain views. At the base of the escarpment, stop at Mangueiras Market and visit the Ngendelengo community to experience local culture and daily life.

Continue onwards to Namibe, where you will check in at your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and unwind.

Discover Namibe

Today you will explore the remarkable landscapes of Iona National Park, where vast golden dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean, creating one of the most unique desert-coastal ecosystems in Africa. This extraordinary setting is home to resilient desert-adapted wildlife and striking scenery.

Continue to Tombwa for lunch, before visiting some of the region’s natural highlights. Discover the ancient Welwitschia mirabilis, followed by the scenic Arcos Lagoon and the colourful Curoca Hills, often referred to as a “mini Grand Canyon” due to their dramatic formations.

Later, continue to Moçâmedes for check-in and overnight stay, where you can unwind after a full day of exploration.

Namibe to Luanda

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and set out to visit the mouth of the Giraúl River, where striking desert landscapes meet the Atlantic Ocean, creating a unique and scenic coastal contrast.

Return to Moçâmedes for an early lunch before continuing to the airport for your departure flight to Luanda.

Upon arrival in Luanda, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax and unwind after your journey.

Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, you may choose how to spend your last day in

Enjoy free time at your own pace, relaxing or exploring the city as you wish. Or you can chose for an
excursion (optional activities at additional costs) Embark on a guided adventure south of Luanda, visiting the Miradouro da Lua with its
breathtaking lunar-like landscapes, followed by lunch at Cabo Ledo, or explore the Quissama National Park with a
boat ride on the river, or enjoy the sun and sea at Ilha do Mussul.

At the end of the afternoon, transfer to the airport for your departure.
