Transfer To Fort Portal City

This day you will be picked by our driver guide to fort portal city, the tourism city of Uganda situated at the base of Rwenzori mountains in the greater Tooro kingdom. This city is also known as a gate way for Uganda’s adventures. Once you arrive, you will check in at mountains of the moon hotel for dinner, refreshments and overnight stay.

Nyakasura Falls Experience and Crater Drive

Following breakfast in the morning, you will be picked up by our driver guide and driven to the Nyakasura falls at Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru caves located seven kilometres away from Fort portal where you will learn about its touching legend stories of the breasts of Mwiru’s mother. You will need propel walking boats because sometimes the path to the jungle of Amabere can be slippery and wet. You will then trek to the top of the Nyakasura hill where you will be able to see the crater lakes which will give you a memorable experience.

Crater drive

There are dozens of volcanic craters that pock the landscape north of Mweya to remind us the Albertine rift valley’s history. The 27km crater drive between kabatoro and crater gates follows a breath-taking route around the rims of extinct craters filled variously with lakes, forest and grassland.

Sempaya Hotsprings Experience and Semuliki NP Game Drive

On this day after breakfast, you will be picked up by our tour guide and taken to Semuliki National Park, where you will check in at Nyati Game Lodge before experiencing the hot springs. The Sempaya Hot Springs, both male and female, are the park's main attraction, located about a 30-minute walk from the main road. Here, you can marvel at the breathtaking sight of hot water boiling and jetting from the ground at approximately 103 degrees Celsius.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy birding in Semuliki, renowned for its rich diversity of forest birds, making it one of Uganda's top birding destinations. You will have the opportunity to see a variety of species, including Albertine Rift endemics like the dwarf honey guide and the purple-breasted sunbird, as well as 35 unique Congo-Guinea biome species such as the black dwarf hornbill and Congo serpent eagle. Afterward, you will return to your lodge for refreshments, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Game Drive In Semukiki and Departure

Following breakfast in the morning, you will be picked up by our driver guide and head for a morning game drive. This amazing activity will take you about 3-4 hours and it is done at Toro Semuliki wildlife reserve where you will be able to see forest and savannah elephants along with buffalo, waterbuck, crocodile, warthog, Uganda Kob, bush babies among others. You will then go back to your lodge, have lunch, check and depart to Kampala.
