Your driver-guide will pick you up for the 4–6-hour journey to Lake Mburo National Park. En route, you will stop at Kayabwe for an equator experience and lunch before checking in at the lodge.
Despite being one of Uganda’s smallest parks at 370 sq. km, Lake Mburo serves as a vital wildlife corridor. Its diverse landscape of savannah, lakes, swamps, and hills supports 69 mammal species, including zebra, impala, eland, Rothschild’s giraffe, and leopard, as well as 332 bird species. Birdwatchers can spot unique swamp species like the papyrus gonolek and the rare shoebill, making for a highly rewarding game drive experience.

Day 2

Today you will be picked up by our driver-guide for a salt lick walk, which will take about two hours. Guided walks explore the park around the Rwonyo track junction, culminating in a visit to a natural salt lick where wildlife can be viewed from a timber observation platform. You will then return to the lodge for lunch and refreshments.
Following lunch, you go on a game viewing experience. There are various viewing points in the wilderness. South of Rwonyo, the lakeside track climbs onto Kigarama Hill, which provides a panoramic view of Lake Mburo National Park. This lake, along with seven others, can also be seen from the equally dramatic Kazuma lookout, which lies at the top of a steep climb accessed from the Ruroko track near the Kazuma research area.

Day 3

After checking out, you will travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park and check in at the lodge. Located in southwestern Uganda, this is the country’s most popular and diverse conservation area. Its rich mix of habitats—including grasslands, forests, and wetlands—supports a wide range of mammals and 604 bird species.
Set on the rift valley floor and framed by the snow-capped Rwenzori Mountains, the park offers breathtaking views of volcanic craters and the hippo-lined Kazinga Channel. During your safari, you can expect to see elephants, buffaloes, and the famous tree-climbing lions of the Ishasha and Kasenyi plains, with the distant Mitumba Mountains of Congo visible across Lake Edward.

Day 4

Following breakfast at 6:00 a.m., you will embark on a thrilling morning game drive in the Kasenyi sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This primary viewing area offers the chance to spot the Big Five, including the famous tree-climbing lions resting in shady fig trees. You will also see buffaloes, hippos, elephants, topis, and herds of Uganda kobs before returning to the lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The voyage between Mweya and Lake Edward provides stunning views of resident hippos, crocodiles, and waterbirds, alongside visiting elephants and antelopes. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Today you will transfer to the “primate capital of the world” and check in at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge. Located in southwestern Uganda, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a premier attraction, famous for its misty slopes that house over 300 endangered mountain gorillas. Beyond several habituated gorilla groups, the forest supports 120 mammal species, including chimpanzees, elephants, and antelopes, and 350 bird species, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.
In the evening, you will enjoy a Batwa community experience. This cultural encounter provides a rare glimpse into the lives of the Bakiga and the Batwa (pygmies). Having inhabited these forests for centuries, the Batwa offer a unique perspective on traditional forest life, ensuring a truly memorable honeymoon experience.

On this day, your driver-guide will transfer you to Bunyonyi Safaris Resort to continue your honeymoon. Located in southwestern Uganda near the Rwanda border, Lake Bunyonyi is celebrated for its translucent waters and lush, terraced hills that offer some of Uganda’s most stunning views. Known as a “place of many little birds,” it is a premier destination for bird watching and features 29 islands, including Bushara, Bwama, and the historic Punishment Island (Akampene).
As a couple, you can relax by the shores or engage in adventurous activities such as island hopping, canoeing, the high-course rope circuit, and ziplining. The lake’s parasite-free waters also make it an ideal spot for a refreshing swim after gorilla tracking or mountain climbing.
