Your self-drive adventure begins on arrival at Windhoek Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed for a meet and greet, followed by your 4x4 vehicle handover and briefing. Once you’re ready, continue north along the main highway toward Okahandja, a convenient stop for refreshments along the way.
From here, journey onward to Okonjima, aiming to arrive in the early afternoon. After check-in, take time to settle into your lodge and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Later in the day, you may wish to join an optional AfriCat Foundation activity, such as guided leopard tracking or an engaging introduction to carnivore ecology and conservation research.

After check-in, you can choose to relax at the lodge or enter Etosha National Park in your own vehicle for an afternoon drive, exploring some of the iconic waterholes near Okaukuejo.
