The rest of the day is dedicated to rest and recovery after your journey. The trail winds through tall trees covered in moss, with rich greenery and occasional wildlife sightings such as monkeys and exotic birds. The air is humid and fresh, and the gradual ascent allows your body to begin adjusting to the altitude.

By late afternoon, you will reach Machame Camp, where you can relax, enjoy a warm meal, and settle into your tent surrounded by the sounds of the forest.

As you gain altitude, the air becomes cooler and drier. The trail includes some steeper sections, but the pace remains steady to support acclimatization.

The environment here is more alpine, with fewer plants and a more rugged feel. After lunch, descend to Barranco Camp, located in a beautiful valley surrounded by towering cliffs and unique vegetation such as giant groundsels.

This day can feel challenging, but it significantly improves your chances of a successful summit.
