Arriva and First Game drive

Your safari begins early in the morning with a departure from Nairobi, heading southwest through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at a viewpoint for photos. You’ll continue the journey through Narok town and into Maasai land, arriving at Maasai Mara National Reserve around midday. After checking into your lodge or camp and enjoying lunch, you’ll have some time to relax before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. This is a great introduction to the Mara’s vast savannahs, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, and possibly big cats like lions as the sun sets. You’ll return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full game drive in masai mara

The second day is fully dedicated to exploring Maasai Mara National Reserve. After an early breakfast (or with packed breakfast), you’ll head out at sunrise when wildlife is most active. You’ll spend the entire day on game drives across different sections of the reserve, tracking the famous “Big Five” (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino) and other animals across the open plains and river areas. A picnic lunch is usually enjoyed in the wild near a river or scenic spot. In the afternoon, you may choose to visit a local Maasai village to experience their culture and traditions, or continue with more wildlife viewing. You’ll return to your lodge in the late afternoon or early evening for dinner and your second overnight stay.

On the final day, you’ll wake up early for a short morning game drive, offering one last chance to spot wildlife in the cool morning hours. You’ll arrive in the late afternoon, marking the end of your 3-day, 2-night safari experience filled with memorable wildlife encounters and scenic landscapes.
