Your journey begins in Arusha, where you’ll be picked up from your hotel early in the morning by your safari guide. After a short briefing, you’ll drive west toward Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic highlands and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive itself is part of the experience, with wildlife sightings often beginning before you even enter the park. By afternoon, you’ll arrive in the Serengeti and enjoy your first game drive en route to your lodge or camp. Expect to see giraffes, zebras, and possibly predators as the sun sets over the plains. Dinner and overnight in the Serengeti.

Today is dedicated to exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti. You’ll head out early for a sunrise game drive, when wildlife is most active. Depending on the season, you may witness parts of the Great Migration or spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, and large herds of wildebeest. After a picnic lunch in the bush, you’ll continue with an afternoon game drive, covering different areas of the park. Your guide will tailor the day based on recent wildlife activity. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and your second overnight in the Serengeti, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

After an early breakfast, you’ll enjoy a short morning game drive as you exit the Serengeti. You’ll then transfer to a nearby airstrip for a scheduled light aircraft flight back toward Arusha. On arrival, you’ll connect to your onward flight to Zanzibar. Upon landing, you’ll be met and transferred to your beach hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure—perfect for unwinding after your safari with a walk along the beach or a swim in the Indian Ocean. Overnight in Zanzibar.
