Day 1

Your journey begins early in the morning with a transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport for your scheduled flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, your Northern Tanzania safari adventure starts with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park.

Famous for its towering baobab trees, vast savannah plains, and impressive elephant herds, Tarangire offers a perfect introduction to Tanzania’s rich wildlife. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, including lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and over 500 bird species making it ideal for both game viewing and birdwatching.

You’ll enjoy a morning game drive followed by a picturesque picnic lunch inside the park. In the afternoon, continue with another game drive as wildlife gathers around the Tarangire River, providing excellent viewing opportunities during the warmer hours.

Day 2

Central Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast at Into Ngare Lodge, you’ll depart for a scenic drive toward the world-renowned Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and the lush highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with chances to spot wildlife along the way.

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch en route while taking in sweeping views of the endless savannah. Upon entering the Central Serengeti, famous for its vast plains and dense wildlife population, you’ll begin your first game drive in the park.

This area is especially known for its high concentration of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, alongside large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes. Keep your camera ready for unforgettable moments set against the iconic acacia-dotted landscape.

By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your comfortable midrange lodge or tented camp, where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy dinner beneath the starlit African sky.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for a full-day game drive in Serengeti National Park, exploring its expansive central plains where wildlife sightings are at their best. This area offers excellent chances to encounter the Big Five, along with large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and a variety of antelope species. With a bit of luck, you may also witness elusive predators such as leopards and cheetahs in action.

You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park, surrounded by sweeping views of the endless savannah. In the afternoon, your journey continues southeast toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the open plains behind, the scenery gradually transforms into lush highlands and forested landscapes.

By evening, you’ll arrive at Ngorongoro wild camp, located near the crater rim. Set amidst beautiful gardens and coffee plantations, this comfortable midrange lodge provides a peaceful atmosphere to relax, unwind, and enjoy dinner in a serene setting.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive in one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” this UNESCO World Heritage Site within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is home to over 25,000 animals, including all members of the Big Five.

The fertile crater floor provides exceptional wildlife viewing, where you may spot rhinos grazing near flamingo-lined lakes, lions resting in the grasslands, and elephants moving through the woodlands. Its diverse habitats forests, wetlands, and open savannah create an ideal environment for a wide range of species.

Day 5

Lake Manyara

After breakfast at Ngorongoro Wild Camp, you’ll depart for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, a small yet highly diverse park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Famous for its lush groundwater forest, scenic lakeside views, and rich wildlife, it offers a perfect final safari experience.

The park is home to elephants, hippos, giraffes, and its iconic tree-climbing lions. Bird lovers will also enjoy sightings of flamingos, pelicans, and over 400 bird species along the lake shores. You’ll explore its varied landscapes, from dense forest to open floodplains, during a relaxed game drive, with a picnic lunch enjoyed in the wild.

In the early afternoon, you’ll transfer to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar. As you fly over the vast landscapes of Northern Tanzania, take in one last view of the unforgettable scenery. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, marking the end of your incredible Northern Circuit safari adventure.
