Day one begins with a morning departure from Wilson Airport, the main hub for domestic safari flights. After check-in, you board a small aircraft for a scenic journey over the Great Rift Valley and the sweeping plains of southern Kenya. The flight offers a gradual transition from urban landscapes to open savannah, giving a first glimpse of the wilderness that defines the Maasai Mara ecosystem.

On arrival at a bush airstrip within the Mara North Conservancy, you are welcomed by your guide and transferred to camp. Rather than a direct drive, this transfer becomes your introductory game drive, immediately immersing you in the safari experience. The pace is unhurried, with the guide interpreting tracks, pointing out birdlife, and scanning for larger animals.
The drive also introduces you to the landscape itself—rolling grasslands, seasonal rivers, and scattered woodlands. After lunch at the camp, you can continue with the game drive before returning back to the camp for diner.
