Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive southwest toward the iconic Masai Mara, passing through the breathtaking escarpments of the Great Rift Valley and rolling Kenyan countryside. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and check-in before heading straight out on a full afternoon game drive across the sweeping golden plains. The Masai Mara is one of Africa's greatest wildlife spectacles — lions prowl through the tall grass, cheetahs scan the horizon from termite mounds, enormous elephant herds move gracefully across the landscape, and thousands of wildebeest and zebras thunder across the plains in one of nature's most extraordinary displays. As the sun dips toward the horizon and paints the savannah in shades of gold, return to camp for a delicious dinner and overnight stay beneath a breathtaking canopy of African stars.
