Upon arrival at Kigali Airport. You will be picked up with your Kigongo Safaris guide and transferred to the hotel for relaxation and briefing of the tour. If time allows, we can start off with the city tour and visit the genocide memorial or the presidential palace.

Transfer to Nyungwe

Half-day city tour and later drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Drive via Butare and visit the National Museum & Nyanza Hill and later to your accommodation for relaxation. Nyungwe Forest is East Africa’s largest Forest with 13 monkey species including the chimpanzees, Angolan Black Colobus, Monkey, and owl-faced monkeys.

Nyungwe Forest National Park

Early morning chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe Forest National Park. It’s possible to go for a walk to the waterfalls or visit the Angolan Black colobus monkeys. (both activities optional). Nyungwe Forest is East Africa’s largest Forest with 13 monkey species including the chimpanzees, Angolan Black Colobus, Monkey and owl faced monkeys.

Early departure with your ranger guides in search of one of the world’s most interesting, endangered animals the mountain Gorillas. You will spend one hour with one of your closest relatives. Transfer to Akagera National Park

After breakfast, we drive to Akagera National Park through Kigali city and later to the park. Pick you up from the hotel for a guided night/ evening game drive in search of the park’s diverse wildlife. This drive offers a chance to spot leopards, hyenas, mongooses, and bush babies among other fascinating nocturnal creatures. With a bit of luck, you might witness some rare sightings in their natural.
