Kigali tour and transfer to Bwindi

Your luxury gorilla safari begins with a pick-up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. After a short briefing, enjoy an optional Kigali city tour including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial for a meaningful cultural experience.

Afterward, begin your scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Cyanika or Katuna border. The journey takes approximately 4–5 hours, making it the fastest way to access Uganda’s gorillas.

Arrive in the evening and check in at your luxury safari lodge (options: Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp, Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge).

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and return to kigali

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience.

Guided by expert rangers, you will trek through dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take 2–6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, followed by one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before driving back to Kigali for your drop-off at the airport or hotel.
