Murchison Falls – Game Drive & Victoria Nile Boat Safari
Wake before dawn for a sunrise game drive on the northern plains of the Nile Delta. Here, lions laze on rocky kopjes, elephants march in ghostly herds through morning mist, and buffalo stare from muddy wallows. Watch for leopards draped in fig trees, giraffes gliding across golden grasslands, and hartebeest grazing. After a hearty brunch, prepare for a 2–3 hour boat safari along the Victoria Nile. Cruise upstream toward the thundering Murchison Falls – where the Nile squeezes through a 7-metre gap and explodes into a rainbowed abyss. Hippos grunt beside your boat, Nile crocodiles sunbathe on sandbars, and fish eagles call overhead. Disembark near the falls’ base to feel the spray and roar. Continue through rolling hills and terraced farms into Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
This is the day you’ve been waiting for. After an early breakfast, gather at the park headquarters for a gorilla family allocation. Your ranger guide leads you into the Impenetrable Forest – a tangle of bamboo, vines, and ancient trees. The trek can last 2 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas nested. When you find them, you’ll share one unforgettable hour: watching silverbacks beat their chests, mothers groom sleepy infants, and juveniles tumble through undergrowth. The eye-to-eye connection with a mountain gorilla is humbling, profound, and life-changing. Return to your lodge for a well-earned rest.
