Welcome to Tanzania – your journey into the wild begins here! Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a Maasailand Adventure representative and transferred to the Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Arusha. As you drive through the scenic surroundings, take in the vibrant atmosphere of Arusha and catch glimpses of daily local life along the way.

After settling into your accommodation, you will meet your personal Maasailand Adventure safari guide for a welcome briefing, where you will receive an overview of your itinerary and have the opportunity to ask any questions, ensuring you are ready for the unforgettable safari experience that awaits you.

Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Today, you leave the city behind and begin your journey into the wild! After breakfast, your Maasailand Adventure guide will pick you up from your hotel.

You will set off for a full-day game drive in Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. You will explore the park’s diverse habitats, from open savannah to riverine woodlands, offering excellent opportunities to spot a wide variety of wildlife including buffalos, lions, zebras, gazelles and the elegant kudu. You will visit the famous Tarangire River, a vital water source attracting abundant wildlife, particularly during the dry season, making for exceptional game viewing throughout the day.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot, surrounded by beautiful views, before continuing your afternoon game, offering further opportunities to observe more wildlife. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy dinner, followed by an overnight stay.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart from Tarangire National Park and begin your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Your drive will take you through the scenic landscapes of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering breathtaking views of the highlands and vast plains. You will enjoy a game drive en route, with opportunities to spot wildlife as you travel deeper into the Serengeti ecosystem.

Along the way, you will stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic location, allowing you to relax and take in the surroundings before continuing your journey.

As you enter Serengeti National Park, the landscape opens into endless plains, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and, depending on the season, the Great Migration of wildebeest.

Upon arrival at your camp in the late afternoon, you will have time to unwind before enjoying dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the Serengeti.

Today offers more time to explore the Serengeti with a full-day game drive. Your day will be spent exploring the open plains, home to an incredible diversity of wildlife. You may spot lions, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, and large herds of wildebeest and buffalos. Depending on the season, you may witness the spectacular Great Migration.

You will pause for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the park, allowing you to take in the breathtaking surroundings before continuing your game drive into the afternoon.

As the day draws to a close, you will return to your camp to unwind, enjoy dinner and reflect on an unforgettable day in the Serengeti.

*For an additional fee, you can enhance your experience with the option of a hot air balloon safari, giving you a birds-eye view of the breathtaking scenery and herds of wildlife moving across the savannah*

After an early breakfast, you will set out for a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, making the most of the cooler hours when wildlife is most active. During your drive, you may encounter predators returning from a night of hunting, as well as herbivores such as elephants, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest moving across the plains. Your guide will help you track wildlife and share insights into the park’s unique ecosystem as you explore the vast landscapes one last time.

After stopping for a picnic lunch in the park, you will begin your scenic transfer toward Karatu, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route. Upon arrival in Karatu in the evening, you will be transferred to your lodge, where you can relax, enjoy dinner and spend the night in comfort after an unforgettable safari experience.

You will start your day with an early morning game drive in the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, spending half a day in one of Africa’s most exceptional wildlife destinations. The crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, is a natural sanctuary. With a bit of luck, you may spot the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and the endangered black rhino, along with countless other species thriving in this unique ecosystem.

After your safari experience and a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater, you will ascend and begin your journey back to Arusha, enjoying scenic views and local life along the way. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can unwind, enjoy your evening meal and your final night in Tanzania.
