Day 1

10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Departure from Kigali for the drive to Akagera National Park. This National Park is located along the eastern border of Rwanda, where the typically hilly countryside gives way to the savannas of the Great Rift Valley.
Dominated by lakes, swamps and marshland, the area boasts a huge compliment of nature and wildlife that cannot be found elsewhere in the country. The drive will take you around 3 hours arriving with en-route game drive for lunch at the Camp. Have lunch as you enjoy some relaxation time and the breathtaking views of the savannah just near the poolside.
After lunch depart for the afternoon boat cruise at 3PM on Lake Ihema which is very rewarding for seeing many hippos, the huge Nile crocodiles and many birds.
This is the most interesting part of the park, especially for birders. Later dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 2

06:30 AM – 12:30 PM:you will have a full morning game drive heading north. This route offers the best chance to see lions, rhinos, and elephants in the open savannah of the Kilala Valley.
01:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Picnic lunch before exiting the park through the northern gate.
after your you will have a scenic cross-country drive from the lowlands to the high-altitude volcanic region of Musanze.
late evening Check-in and overnight stay at isange paradise resort in Musanze.

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM:after early breakfast our driver will drive you for a Briefing and registration at Kinigi volcanoes national park headquarters.
08:00 AM – 01:00 PM: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Spend a life-changing hour with one of the habituated gorilla families in Volcanoes National Park.
after the trek you will have lunch at a near local place then after you will visit Gorilla Guardians Village (Iby’iwacu Cultural Village) in Kinigi, which is near Volcanoes National Park, offers a highly interactive, hands-on immersion into Rwandan culture. Visitors can expect to explore traditional, grass-thatched homes, take part in traditional dance performances, shoot bows and arrows, sample local banana beer, and learn from local artisans.
06:00 PM: Evening return back at your hotel for the night and rest.

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: after an early breakfast our driver will drive you to volcanoes national park's headquarters
for Morning briefing for the golden monkey trek.
08:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Golden Monkey Trekking. Explore the bamboo forests to observe these playful, orange-coated primates. You will spend an hour watching them in their habitats
12:00 PM – 01:00 PM: Farewell lunch in Musanze.
01:30 PM – 04:00 PM: Scenic return drive to Kigali and visit kimironko market and shop local made crafts and gifts then drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
