Pick up from kigali and transfer to akagera national park - game drive

05:00 AM – 07:30 AM: after your early breakfast our driver will drive you from Kigali to reach the Akagera National Park southern gate.

08:00 AM – 01:00 PM: Morning game drive. Focus on the northern plains to maximize chances of seeing lions, rhinos, and giraffes.

Picnic lunch within the park. After having lunch you will have a scenic drive across the country from the low-lying east to the high-altitude volcanic region of Musanze.

Golden monkey trekking and ibyiwacu cultural village experince

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: after early breakfast our driver will drive you for a morning Briefing at the Volcanoes National Park headquarters (Kinigi) for the golden monkey trek.

08:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Golden Monkey Trekking. Explore the lower bamboo forests to observe these active, endemic primates. You will be given an hour watching them doing their daily activities

After the trek you will have lunch at a local cafe in kinigi then after Visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village (Gorilla Guardians). Participate in traditional drumming, archery, and learn about Rwandan royal history.

Early dinner and rest to prepare for the cross-border trek the next morning.

Gorilla Trekking in Mgahinga Uganda & Return to Kigali

05:30 AM – 06:30 AM:early transfer from Musanze to the Cyanika Border. Crossing into Uganda early is essential to meet the park schedule.

07:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Arrival at the Ntebeko Visitor Center, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park.

08:00 AM – 01:30 PM: Mountain Gorilla Trekking. Track the Nyakagezi family, the only habituated group in this park, and spend one hour in their presence.

01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Post-trek lunch in Kisoro town.

03:00 PM – 06:30 PM: Return transit through the Cyanika border and scenic drive back to Kigali for a late evening drop-off at your hotel or Airport.
