Upon arrival at Arusha/ Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your safari representative and transfer to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. Depending on your arrival time, relax at your lodge or enjoy a short city tour exploring local markets, cultural sites and the peaceful atmosphere of this vibrant safari town. Your guide will provide a safari briefing and overview of the exciting adventure ahead while you prepare for the upcoming wildlife experience. Arusha is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and offers impressive views of Mount Meru on clear days. Spend the evening relaxing at your lodge, enjoying dinner and recovering from your journey before beginning your wilderness safari through Tanzania’s spectacular national parks and conservation areas.

Day 2
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobab trees and large elephant herds. Begin a full-day game drive through diverse habitats including open savannah, seasonal swamps and acacia woodlands. The Tarangire River attracts numerous animals throughout the year, making it one of Tanzania’s best wildlife viewing destinations. Search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes and a wide variety of bird species while enjoying breathtaking scenery and peaceful wilderness surroundings. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with afternoon game viewing in wildlife-rich areas. Later in the evening, transfer to your lodge or camp in Karatu or nearby for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by beautiful highland landscapes.

Day 3
Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early breakfast before driving to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive on the crater floor. Descend into this UNESCO World Heritage Site, home to one of Africa’s densest concentrations of wildlife and often referred to as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Explore forests, open grasslands, swamps and soda lakes inhabited by black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos and flamingos. The crater provides excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five within a short time while enjoying stunning landscapes and exceptional photography moments. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool surrounded by wildlife and breathtaking scenery. After the safari, ascend the crater walls and return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay in the cool and peaceful highland environment.

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park famous for its groundwater forest, tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. Begin a game drive through lush forests, open plains and lakeshore areas while searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, hippos and numerous bird species including flamingos and pelicans. The park’s varied habitats create excellent wildlife viewing opportunities and beautiful scenery ideal for photography. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with afternoon wildlife exploration. Later, depart Lake Manyara and drive back to Arusha where your memorable wilderness safari adventure comes to an end with unforgettable experiences from Tanzania’s iconic northern safari circuit.
