Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Today, you will be welcomed by your professional safari guide from Nano Africa Safaris, who will accompany you throughout your safari. After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, passing through local villages and beautiful countryside landscapes.

Upon arrival, your guide will assist with park registration before beginning an exciting game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, giant baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, leopards, and a variety of bird species. The Tarangire River serves as an important water source, attracting animals throughout the dry season.

After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing and a lunch break inside the park, continue your game drive before heading to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight relaxation.

Your safari adventure continues today as you journey toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge for a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with an optional stop at the historic Olduvai Gorge Museum, one of the world’s most important archaeological sites.

After arriving at Naabi Hill Gate and enjoying lunch, continue with an afternoon game drive across the endless Serengeti plains. Known as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Serengeti is home to incredible wildlife and offers excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—along with many other animals in their natural habitat.

Enjoy the breathtaking landscapes and wildlife sightings as the day ends, before heading to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

At around 7:30 am, your guide will pick you up from your camp in Central Serengeti for a scenic journey to Northern Serengeti. Along the way, enjoy rewarding game viewing as you pass through changing landscapes of open plains and riverine areas, with opportunities to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large herds of herbivores.

You will stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic location inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive toward Northern Serengeti. As part of the UNESCO-listed Serengeti ecosystem, this region is renowned for its rich wildlife and excellent chances of seeing the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo—in their natural habitat.

Arrive at your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness.

At around 7:30 am, your guide will pick you up from your camp in Northern Serengeti and head toward the Mara River, where you may witness the dramatic final stages of the Great Migration. This area offers incredible opportunities to observe wildebeests and zebras gathering near the river, often followed closely by predators such as lions and crocodiles.

After an exciting morning experience, enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic location within the park before beginning your journey back to Central Serengeti. Along the way, continue with a rewarding game drive through the endless savannah plains, with chances to spot elephants, giraffes, lions, and a variety of wildlife in their natural habitat.

Arrive at your camp in the late afternoon for dinner, relaxation, and overnight stay.

Start your day with an early breakfast before departing around 6:00 am for the spectacular Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After approximately two hours of scenic driving, you will arrive at the crater gate and descend into the crater for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations, offering excellent opportunities to spot the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the rare black rhino. The crater is also home to hippos, zebras, wildebeests, and beautiful birdlife such as flamingos around the crater lakes.

After an unforgettable wildlife experience in this unique natural wonder, you will begin the drive back to Arusha.
