Khwai allows for activities often restricted in national parks like night drives, track nocturnal species like leopards, honey badgers, and genets after dark. After you guided game drive during the day, then later evening we partake to the night shift. We also do bush walks to explore the bush on foot with an armed professional guide for a more intimate look at the ecosystem. Mokoro Excursions, you glide through the reed-lined channels of the Khwai River in a traditional dugout canoe.
On your 5 nights stay in Khwai Reserve, you experience wildlife high concentrations of elephants, lions, and African wild dogs are common near the river, especially during the dry winter months.

Full days of exploration on your guided game drives, the daily rhythm usually involves a dawn game drive, mid-morning brunch, a period of rest during the midday heat, and an afternoon drive that often transitions into a night drive or sundowners.
Mababe is famous for massive buffalo herds, which in turn support high concentrations of lions. You can also expect to see elephants, leopards, and occasionally cheetahs. The reserve strictly limits the number of vehicles, ensuring your sightings are private. Explore the flora and fauna on guided game drives and foot with an expert guide. We continue to track nocturnal species that we might missed in Khwai, eg, leopards, lions, civets, and genets using spotlights after dark.
