Your safari begins with an early-morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. As the city falls away, the Tanzanian bush gradually unfolds around you. By the time you reach the gates of Tarangire National Park, you’re completely immersed in the wilderness.
Tarangire is one of Tanzania's most spectacular and atmospheric parks, renowned for hosting one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa. Across the landscape, ancient baobab trees rise like silent sentinels, while the life-giving Tarangire River attracts an exceptional concentration of wildlife. Lions, leopards, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and a remarkable variety of birdlife gather here.
You’ll spend a full day exploring the park, pausing midday for a relaxed picnic lunch at a picturesque spot. As the day softens into afternoon, your game drives continue under the golden Tanzanian sun, which casts long shadows across the baobab-studded plains. By evening, you’ll arrive in Karatu for a tranquil dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you head to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive through one of Tanzania's most diverse and surprising wilderness areas. Though compact in size, Manyara consistently delivers extraordinary wildlife encounters. Its tree-climbing lions, a rare and fascinating behaviour unique to this area, as well as large elephant herds moving through dense forest.
Game drives here last approximately two hours, perfectly timed to keep the experience rich without rushing. You'll return to the lodge for a hot lunch, followed by a relaxed afternoon enjoying the lodge facilities, taking a dip in the pool, unwinding on the terrace, and letting the serenity of the Ngorongoro highlands wash over you.
As the afternoon softens into early evening, your guide will take you on a coffee tour around the lodge grounds, a hands-on and deeply authentic experience exploring how Tanzania's coffee is grown, harvested, and prepared, ending with a tasting straight from the source.

Day 3

The Ngorongoro Crater & En route to Serengeti
Today is one of the most extraordinary days in East African safari travel. Departing at 6:30 AM, you make your way to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, where the view alone will stop you in your tracks. Stretching 260 square kilometres across the floor of an ancient collapsed volcano, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the planet, including the Big Five and the rare and critically endangered black rhino.
Lunch is served inside the crater, a truly unforgettable moment, dining surrounded by one of the world's greatest wilderness landscapes.
In the afternoon, you ascend the crater rim and continue westward into the Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is a game drive eyes on the bush as the landscape transforms into the iconic golden plains of the Serengeti. You'll arrive at camp in time for a relaxed dinner under a vast, star-filled sky.

Your final safari morning begins with an early breakfast at the camp, followed by a game drive across the Serengeti's legendary plains, packed lunch in hand and the golden morning light stretching endlessly before you. The Serengeti never disappoints. Predators are at their most active in the early hours, the great herds are already moving across the grassland, and the sheer scale and beauty of the landscape is as humbling on your last morning as it was on your first.
At around 11:00 AM, your guide will drive you to Seronera Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. As your aircraft lifts off and the Serengeti plains spread out beneath you in all their golden glory, one final, breathtaking view, you'll understand why this place captures hearts so completely and so permanently.
Upon landing at Zanzibar's Abeid Karume International Airport, your transfer guide will be waiting to welcome you to the island and drive you comfortably to your hotel.
