The journey begin from your hotel in Zanzibar, our company representative transfer you to the airport or ferry port for your afternoon journey to Dar es Salaam. Upon arrival, depending on your arrival time, you may have option to enjoy a short city tour exploring some of Dar es Salaam’s highlights, offering a glimpse into its vibrant culture, history and coastal charm.

Later, you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, where you will relax and prepare for the next day’s exciting adventure to Gombe National Park.

Dar es salaam to Gombe National Park

After breakfast at the hotel in Dar es Salaam, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma (depending on the flight time on a particular day). Upon arrival, you will proceed to Kibirizi Port to board a boat across Lake Tanganyika to Gombe National Park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a hot lunch at the rest house before heading out on your first chimpanzee and gorilla trekking experience, guided by park rangers through the lush forest.
In the evening, you will return for dinner and an overnight stay at your accommodation, deep in the heart of chimpanzee country.

Optional activity:
Upon arrival at Kigoma Airport, you will be transferred to Ujiji Village, where you will visit Dr. Livingstone’s Memorial for a cultural experience and to learn about the history of the slave trade.

Chimpanzee Trekking then to Kigoma Town

After an early breakfast, you'll embark on an unforgettable chimpanzee & gorilla trekking adventure through the lush valleys and ancient forest trails of Gombe. Immerse yourself in the sounds and sights of the wild as you explore different valleys in search of our closest relatives, the playful and intelligent chimpanzees. Along the way, you'll enjoy a scenic hike to the beautiful Mkenge Waterfall, a hidden gem nestled deep within the forest.

By midday, you'll return to camp for a delicious lunch and a chance to relax. In the late afternoon, you'll pack up and transfer back to Kigoma town, where you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.

As your unforgettable chimpanzee safari adventure comes to an end, enjoy breathtaking aerial views of Tanzania’s spectacular landscapes, from the shores of Lake Tanganyika to the vast wilderness below.

Upon arrival at the airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel.
