After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch in Maasai Mara National Reserve, spending the day exploring its vast savannahs and rich wildlife habitats. The reserve is especially famous for its population of lions, including the iconic black-maned males, as well as a wide variety of resident animals that make it one of the best places in Africa to encounter the Big Five within a single safari experience. In some areas, cheetahs are often seen resting in the shade, sometimes even close to safari vehicles, offering exceptional viewing opportunities.
The Maasai Mara is also a paradise for bird lovers, with nearly 500 recorded species. These include a remarkable variety of raptors such as eagles, hawks, and falcons, along with vultures, storks, bustards, and colorful sunbirds. One of the highlights is the Kori bustard, recognized as the heaviest flying bird in the world.

Start the day with an early morning pick-up and journey to Lake Nakuru National Park, travelling southwards across the equator and through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Nestled near Lake Bogoria, Lake Nakuru is one of the region’s most renowned lakes and is celebrated for its exceptional natural beauty and ecological importance.
The lake is well known for its alkaline waters and for the spectacular flocks of flamingos that often gather along its shores, creating a breathtaking pink band along the water’s edge. It is widely regarded as one of Africa’s natural wonders due to its unique scenery and rich biodiversity.
Lake Nakuru also plays a vital conservation role as a rhino sanctuary, home to both black and white rhinos, making it one of the best places in Kenya to observe these endangered species.

Day 4

Begin the morning with an early game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, enjoying the calm hours when wildlife is most active and the park’s landscapes are bathed in soft morning light. After the drive, depart late in the morning and begin your journey back to Nairobi.
Enjoy lunch en route as you travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley, with views of rolling escarpments and rural countryside along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, around 4:00 p.m., marking the end of your safari experience.
