Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will receive a warm Tanzanian welcome from your dedicated Nature in Spirit driver-guide, who will accompany you throughout your journey. From the airport, enjoy a scenic 1 hour and 30-minute drive to Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s northern safari circuit. If weather permits, you may catch your first breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, with opportunities to stop for photos along the way. As you travel, observe the vibrant local life, villages, and markets that offer a genuine introduction to Tanzania. Feel free to ask questions or pause for memorable moments during the drive. Upon arrival in Arusha, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing, recovering from your flight, and preparing for the exciting safari adventure ahead.

We recommend an early breakfast at your lodge before departing Arusha sharply at 07:30 AM with picnic lunches, allowing you to maximize your time in Tarangire National Park during the most active wildlife hours. The scenic drive to Tarangire takes approximately two hours, bringing you to the park around 09:30 AM, where your safari adventure begins immediately as you enter the park.

Tarangire is famous for its enormous elephant herds, majestic ancient baobab trees, and excellent predator sightings. The park is also home to giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, lions, leopards, and more than 500 bird species, making it one of East Africa’s most rewarding wildlife destinations.

Around midday, enjoy your picnic lunch at a carefully selected picnic site surrounded by nature before continuing with an afternoon game drive exploring the diverse landscapes and hidden wildlife areas of the park. After a full day immersed in the wilderness, You will continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart to Serengeti National Park with a safari en route through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Highlands. This drive is already part of your safari experience. As you travel through the lush Ngorongoro forest, keep your eyes peeled for large troops of baboons, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and the elusive leopard resting quietly in the trees along the forest edge.

After approximately four hours of scenic driving and wildlife viewing, you will arrive in the Serengeti in good time for a hot lunch at your camp and a short refresher before heading back into the wilderness. At around 03:00 PM, enjoy an afternoon game drive extending until sunset across the endless plains that make the Serengeti one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations. Expect excellent chances of spotting lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and vast herds of wildebeests and zebras. Today begins early with a wake-up call at around 05:00 AM followed by breakfast at 05:30 AM before departing your camp sharply at 06:00 AM for a sunrise safari in Serengeti National Park. Early morning is one of the best times for wildlife viewing in the Serengeti, as temperatures are cooler and predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs are still highly active before the heat of the day. This is also the perfect time for photography, with beautiful golden light and dramatic wildlife encounters across the endless plains.

Your morning safari extends until around 11:30 AM before returning to camp for a hot lunch. At around 03:00 PM, head back into the wilderness for an afternoon game drive exploring different wildlife areas and searching for elephants, giraffes, hyenas, big cats, and the Great Migration herds. Often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the Big Five in a single day. Its unique ecosystem supports an incredible concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, zebras, hippos, flamingos, and the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch inside the crater surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife before continuing your afternoon safari until around 03:00 PM.
