Day 1

Gondar – Debark – Simien Mountains National Park – Limalimo Lodge

Upon arrival at Gondar Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your English-speaking guide and driver before starting your journey toward the spectacular Simien Mountains National Park. Before leaving Gondar, enjoy a short sightseeing tour of the city’s famous historical attractions including Fasil Ghebbi, Debre Berhan Selassie Church, and Fasilides' Bath. After lunch, continue driving to Debark where you will register at the park headquarters and meet the local ranger and scout. Continue onward to Limalimo Lodge and check in. In the afternoon, enjoy an easy scenic hike along the escarpment with breathtaking views, Gelada baboons, birdlife, and dramatic mountain landscapes before returning to the lodge before sunset.

Day 2

Early in the morning, enjoy breakfast at Limalimo Lodge while taking in the beautiful sunrise views over the mountains. Afterwards, drive toward the Sankaber area inside Simien Mountains National Park, passing several scenic viewpoints with spectacular views of cliffs, valleys, and dramatic escarpments. Begin a moderate hike toward the impressive Jinbar Waterfall, one of the park’s most scenic natural attractions. Along the way, enjoy excellent opportunities to spot Gelada baboons, Klipspringer, Bushbuck, vultures, and various endemic bird species in their natural habitat. Upon arrival at Jinbar Waterfall, relax, take photographs, and enjoy the breathtaking surroundings. After the hike, return to the vehicle and enjoy lunch at a scenic spot before driving back to Gondar where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport.
