Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide who will brief you about your upcoming gorilla adventure in Rwanda. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short drive through Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and most vibrant cities, before beginning your scenic journey դեպի Volcanoes National Park in the northern part of the country.

The drive offers breathtaking views of Rwanda’s rolling green hills, terraced farmlands, and picturesque rural villages that have earned the country its famous nickname, “The Land of a Thousand Hills.” Along the way, you will experience the beauty of the countryside, observe local daily life, and enjoy several photography opportunities. Gorilla trekking experience

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing by experienced ranger guides about gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. You will then begin your exciting trek through the dense rainforest in search of the endangered mountain gorillas. The hike takes you through beautiful forest trails with chances to spot unique birds, golden monkeys, and stunning vegetation along the way.

Once the gorilla family is located, spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and interact. Watching these gentle giants up close is a truly rare and emotional wildlife experience. After the trek, return to the park headquarters and receive your gorilla trekking certificate before driving back to the lodge. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and reflecting on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure in Rwanda.

Transfer to kigali

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at the lodge while taking in the final views of Rwanda’s beautiful volcanic landscapes and surrounding countryside. After check-out, begin your scenic drive back to Kigali, passing through the country’s rolling hills, vibrant local villages, and picturesque farmlands that make Rwanda one of Africa’s most beautiful destinations.

Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy a short city tour in Kigali, giving you the opportunity to explore some of the city’s highlights, local markets, craft shops, and cultural sites. This is also a great chance to purchase souvenirs, handmade crafts, and gifts to remember your Rwanda safari experience. You may also stop at local cafes or restaurants for refreshments while experiencing the warm hospitality of Rwanda.

Later, you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your departure flight. As your journey comes to an end, curated and guided by Satellite adventures.
