Boat transfer from Maun to Xaxaba takes between 4 -5 hours each way, traversing winding, papyrus-lined channels and expansive lagoons populated by hippos and diverse birdlife. Mobile Bush Camping wilderness immersive, you travel with a licensed private guide, a field chef, and camp assistants. You will sleep in classic safari tents pitched on remote, uninhabited palm islands around Xaxaba. It features in-suite tents, meals over an open campfire, and raw proximity to nature.
Wake up at sunrise for a guided nature walk on foot. Accompanied by an armed professional guide, you will track large game like elephants and buffaloes, learning about tracking prints, birds, and local ecosystem flora. Mid day rest, return to camp for a hearty lunch and rest during the hottest hours of the day. Afternoon Boating Safari, board the motorboat to explore deeper channels, hidden lagoons, and bird nesting colonies. Track aquatic wildlife or try catch-and-release fishing.

Final Excursion, enjoy a final early morning mokoro ride or short island walk. Return to camp, pack up camp and board the motorboat for the 4-5 hour journey back down to Maun, arriving in the afternoon for your onward travel connections.
