Day 1

You will be picked up by a professional guide early in the morning who will brief you about the whole trip and then set off for a journey in the western region of Uganda to Lake Bunyonyi. The journey takes an 8-hour drive from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi and the distance to cover is 457 kilometres.

You will arrive during lunchtime and relax at a resort overlooking the lake; in the afternoon take a boat cruise along the deepest lake in Uganda and the second deepest in Africa after Lake Tanganyika.
During the boat cruise, you have an opportunity to visit some of the 29 islands on Lake Bunyonyi and spot various water birds like grey corned cranes, herons, egrets, and cuckoos to mention but a few. Return to the resort and check out for a transfer to the Ruhija sector where you will have dinner and an overnight stay in preparation for the next day’s trekking.

After a cheerful morning breakfast, transfer back to Kampala via the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe where you will have an opportunity to take photos standing in two different hemispheres at the same time. You'll also do the local water experiment that proves the earth is split up into two hemispheres - the north and the south hemispheres. Have lunch en route. You will then proceed to Kampala or Entebbe Airport for your departure.
