Embark on a guided hike through lush coffee and banana plantations to the spectacular Materuni Waterfall — one of Tanzania's most rewarding hidden gems. Take a refreshing swim at the base of the falls, then join a traditional Chagga coffee tour: pick, roast, pound, and brew fresh Arabica coffee with local families. Return to Arusha in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Depart after breakfast and drive southwest to Tarangire National Park — famous for its enormous elephant herds, one of the largest concentrations in Africa — and iconic ancient baobab trees. Spend the afternoon on a game drive along the Tarangire River, a year-round water source that attracts lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and over 550 bird species. Arrive at camp for dinner and overnight under the stars.

After an early morning game drive in Tarangire, drive north to Lake Manyara National Park. This compact but spectacular park stretches along an alkaline lake famous for its tree-climbing lions — a rare phenomenon unique to this area. Explore the dense groundwater forest, acacia woodland, and the soda lake shore, where flamingos and pelicans gather in their thousands. Check in at camp for a relaxed evening dinner.

Drive up the dramatic escarpment to the Ngorongoro Crater rim — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 metres onto the crater floor for a full afternoon game drive. The 260 km² enclosed ecosystem is home to approximately 30,000 animals including the endangered black rhino, the full Big Five, hippos, hyenas, and a rich variety of birdlife. The concentration of wildlife within this natural amphitheatre is unmatched anywhere in Africa.

Day 5

Depart after breakfast with a final morning game drive in the crater, then climb back to the rim and head west into the vast Serengeti plains. Stop at the Olduvai Gorge — the 'Cradle of Mankind' — for a fascinating look at some of the world's most important palaeontological discoveries. Continue into the Serengeti for an afternoon game drive as you settle into the endless golden savannah, home to cheetah, lion, leopard, and the annual Great Migration (July–October).

A full day dedicated to exploring the endless Serengeti. Depart after breakfast with packed picnic lunches for a dawn-to-dusk game drive across the open plains, kopjes (granite rock outcrops), and river crossings. Between July and October, witness the thundering Great Wildebeest Migration — over 1.5 million wildebeest and 200,000 zebra crossing crocodile-infested rivers in one of nature's greatest spectacles. Year-round, the Serengeti offers unrivalled Big Cat sightings and extraordinary photographic opportunities.
