From Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Starts early in Arusha, where your guide picks you up around 7:30–8:30AM in a 4x4 safari vehicle. You drive about 2–3 hours to Tarangire National Park, passing villages and open landscapes. After entry, you begin a full game drive in a park known for large elephant herds, baobab trees, and wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffalo. You explore different areas of the park in the morning, then stop for a picnic lunch at a safe designated site inside the park. In the afternoon, you continue the game drive along the Tarangire River and surrounding plains, where animal activity is often strong, especially in the dry season. Late in the day, you exit the park and drive to Mto wa Mbu area. You arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at a lodge, preparing for the next day’s journey.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Starts early from Mto wa Mbu, usually around 5:30–6:00 AM, with a drive of about 1.5–2 hours to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area gate. After registration, you continue ascending the scenic highlands before reaching the crater rim viewpoint, where you get your first breathtaking view of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. You then descend about 600 meters into the crater for a half-day game drive. Inside the crater you can see a high concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, hippos, and often black rhinos, along with flamingos around the soda lakes. The environment is compact, so animal viewing is usually very rewarding in a short time. Around midday you enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site near the hippo pool. After lunch, you continue a short game drive before ascending the crater in the afternoon and driving back to Mto wa Mbu for overnight stay and rest.

Home of Lions Climbing Trees

Begins after breakfast in Mto wa Mbu, with a short drive (about 15 to 30minutes) to Lake Manyara National Park. You enter the park for a morning game drive, exploring its diverse habitats including groundwater forest, open plains, and the lakeshore. The park is known for tree-climbing lions (though not always seen), large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and abundant birdlife including flamingos and pelicans along the lake. You continue wildlife viewing until late morning, with a picnic lunch or packed lunch depending on timing and plan. After the game drive, you exit the park and begin the drive back to Arusha, which takes about 2–2.5 hours. You arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your safari. This day is shorter and more relaxed, mainly focused on a final scenic park experience before returning to the city.
