Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide who will brief you about your Uganda and Rwanda safari adventure. Depending on your arrival time, you will head for an exciting shoebill experience along the shores of Lake Victoria and nearby wetlands, one of the best places in Uganda to spot the rare and prehistoric-looking shoebill stork. During the excursion, enjoy beautiful scenery, calm waters, and opportunities to observe a variety of bird species in their natural habitat. The shoebill experience offers excellent photography moments as you watch this unique bird standing silently in the wetlands while hunting for fish. After an early breakfast, depart Entebbe and begin your scenic journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most spectacular conservation area. The drive takes you through vibrant towns, local villages, and beautiful countryside landscapes with opportunities to observe daily life along the Kampala–Gulu highway. En route, make a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an exciting rhino tracking experience on foot accompanied by an experienced ranger. This sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild, offering a unique opportunity to observe these magnificent animals up close while learning about ongoing conservation efforts. After the experience, continue with the journey northwards and enjoy a lunch stop along the way before entering Murchison Falls National Park in the evening. After an early breakfast, set out for a morning game drive on the northern banks of Murchison Falls National Park where vast savannah plains provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Search for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, hartebeests, waterbucks, hyenas, and various antelope species as the park comes alive in the cool morning hours. The game drive offers breathtaking scenery and rewarding photography moments across Uganda’s largest national park. Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading for an afternoon boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of the powerful Murchison Falls. Along the cruise, enjoy close encounters with hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, and numerous bird species along the riverbanks. After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and begin your scenic journey to Kibale Forest National Park, famously known as the primate capital of East Africa. The drive takes you through beautiful countryside landscapes, traditional villages, rolling hills, and tea plantations that showcase Uganda’s natural beauty and rural life. Enjoy views of the Albertine Rift Valley and lush green scenery as you continue southwards towards western Uganda. A lunch stop will be made along the way before proceeding to Kibale Forest, home to a rich diversity of primates and tropical rainforest wildlife.
