Drive to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast at 7:00 am, your journey with WildPulse Adventures begins as you depart for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary en route to Murchison Falls National Park. Rhinos, once extinct in the Ugandan wild, are now being successfully bred at the sanctuary before being reintroduced into Uganda’s national parks.

Upon arrival, you will meet experienced guides and armed rangers who will lead you on a walking safari in search of the rhinos. Once located, you will spend time observing these incredible animals in their natural environment while learning about the conservation efforts protecting them. After the tracking experience, enjoy a bush picnic lunch within the sanctuary grounds.

Later, continue your scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, known for its dramatic landscapes, abundant wildlife, and the mighty Nile River. Upon arrival, check in at Pakuba Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Game drive & Boat ride to the bottom of the falls

Rise early at 6:00 am for a sunrise game drive across the open savannah plains of Murchison Falls N.P. The morning light offers excellent wildlife viewing opportunities as animals emerge into the cool morning air. Expect to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species alongside the beautiful riverine vegetation near the Nile.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon, head for the famous boat safari to the bottom of the powerful Murchison Falls, the Nile brings you close to hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and water birds while offering spectacular views of the falls.

At the base of the falls, disembark and hike to the top of the falls for one of Uganda’s most breathtaking experiences. Watch the Nile squeeze through a narrow 7-metre gorge before crashing down with incredible force, creating misty sprays and thunderous sounds. After the hike, your guide will transfer you back to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Drive back to Entebbe & departure

Enjoy a relaxed morning at Pakuba Safari Lodge with breakfast at your leisure. Take in the peaceful surroundings of the lodge before checking out at 10:00 am.

You will then begin your journey back to Kampala with a lunch stop in Masindi. Arrive in Kampala in the early evening before continuing to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
