Arusha to Londorossi Gate to Forest Camp

Your Kilimanjaro adventure begins with an early morning transfer from Arusha to Mount Kilimanjaro National Park. Upon arrival at the Londorossi Gate, complete registration formalities before beginning your trek through the lush rainforest zone of the mountain. Enjoy beautiful scenery, tropical vegetation, and chances to spot monkeys and unique birdlife along the trail. After several hours of hiking, arrive at Forest Camp where you will relax, enjoy dinner, and spend your first overnight on the mountain.

Moir Hut to Barranco Camp

Enjoy breakfast before departing for another scenic trekking day across alpine desert landscapes. This stage helps improve acclimatization while offering breathtaking scenery along the Southern Circuit of Kilimanjaro. Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

After breakfast, begin the exciting climb up the famous Barranco Wall, one of the most adventurous and rewarding sections of the Lemosho Route. The trek today is shorter, allowing your body additional time to acclimatize to the altitude. Arrive at Karanga Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Following breakfast, continue your ascent through the barren alpine desert zone towards Barafu Camp, the final base camp before summit night. Upon arrival at Barafu Camp, enjoy an early dinner and rest as you prepare mentally and physically for the summit attempt later in the night.

Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp

Around midnight, begin your summit attempt under the stars with headlamps guiding the way towards Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa at 5,895 meters above sea level. This challenging but rewarding climb takes you across steep scree slopes and glacier surroundings as you approach the summit at sunrise. Celebrate your achievement at Uhuru Peak while enjoying unforgettable panoramic views above the clouds.

After taking photos and celebrating your success, begin the descent back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing down to Mweka Camp for dinner and overnight stay.
