Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your safari representative and assisted through immigration, customs clearance, and luggage collection. Thereafter, proceed to the Aerolink check-in counters for your scheduled domestic flight to Kihihi Airstrip.

Enjoy a scenic flight over Uganda’s beautiful landscapes before arriving at Kihihi Airstrip where your safari guide will transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The park is also famous for its rich birdlife and unique Albertine Rift endemic species. After check-in at your lodge, relax and prepare for the exciting gorilla trekking adventure ahead.

Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers before being assigned to a gorilla family group. Begin your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience through the dense rainforest as experienced trackers guide you through steep and sometimes muddy terrain in search of the mountain gorillas.

The trek may take between 2 to 7 hours depending on the gorillas’ movements, but the reward of encountering these magnificent primates in their natural habitat is truly life-changing. Spend time observing them feed, interact, and care for one another while capturing unforgettable memories. After the trek, return to the lodge for relaxation. Optional cultural visits to the Batwa community may be arranged in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, driving through scenic countryside landscapes and beautiful wilderness areas. Your first adventure within the park begins in the famous Ishasha Sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen resting on fig tree branches.

Continue towards the northern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park while enjoying opportunities to spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species along the way. The park’s savannah plains, crater lakes, and diverse ecosystems provide spectacular scenery and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up early for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Explore the vast savannah plains while searching for elephants, lions, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, and various antelope species. The early morning hours provide excellent opportunities for wildlife sightings and photography.

Later, proceed for a relaxing boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lake Edward and Lake George. During the cruise, enjoy close-up views of hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants along the shoreline, and numerous bird species including the African fish eagle. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch before heading into the forest for an exciting chimpanzee trekking experience. Guided by experienced trackers, venture through the dense forest while listening for the calls of chimpanzees echoing through the trees. Once located, observe these intelligent primates as they feed, communicate, and interact within their social groups. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
