Arriving at your new lodge in time for lunch, you will rest during the midday heat before embarking on an afternoon game drive across Tsavo East's iconic open terrain. With the Land Cruiser's pop-up roof fully extended, you will spend the cooler afternoon hours scanning the wide horizon for hunting lions and cheetahs, and you will capture incredible photographs of Tsavo's famous "red elephants" in the evening you will settle for dinner in your lodges.

Your day begins at dawn with a hearty breakfast before setting off in your 4x4 Land Cruiser for morning game drive. This is prime time for predator activity; with the pop-up roof fully extended, you can scan the cool savanna for lions returning from a night hunt or a cheetah utilizing the low morning light to stalk prey. The Cruiser will navigate toward Kanderi Swamp, a lush, green oasis that serves as a vital water source and draws massive herds of Cape buffalo, giraffes, and waterbucks, making it an exceptional hub for morning wildlife photography and birdwatching. In the afternoon you will have lunch as you enjoy the view of animals under a tree, in the evening you will come back to your hotels for an overnight dinner and a good rest for the next day.

Morning: Head out for a final, early sunrise game drive in Tsavo East. Afterward, your driver takes you to the Voi SGR Station.
12:02 PM: Board the Madaraka Express Inter-County train. Relax in comfort as you glide past the coastal plains, arriving at the Mombasa SGR Terminus (Miritini) at 2:00 PM. (Your safari driver handles the Land Cruiser's return journey).
Afternoon: Request an Uber directly from the Miritini station. The ride takes you south over the Likoni Bridge or via the Dongo Kundu bypass straight to your resort at Diani Beach to watch the sunset over the Indian Ocean after long day experience you will have a seamless rest and overnight dinner at your lodges.
