Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Welcome to Tanzania!
As soon as you land at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO), your safari guide will be there to meet you and take you to your lodge in Arusha. You’ll get to wander through the village, meet some of the families who call it home, and learn about their farming traditions and community projects. It’s a genuine and down-to-earth look into the culture that shapes this part of the country.

First thing after breakfast, we’re heading to Tarangire National Park. This place is something special an absolute haven for elephants, with a landscape full of massive, ancient baobab trees that you have to see to believe.
The park is famous for its huge elephant families, and the Tarangire River is what really makes it all tick. It’s the main water source, so it draws in animals from all over, all year round.

We’ll have the whole day for a game drive, so we can take our time and keep an eye out for lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo. The birdwatching here is fantastic, too. Honestly, the scenery is just as incredible as the wildlife; it’s the kind of place that really stays with you.
