​Named after the vital river that serves as the region's primary dry-season water source, Tarangire is celebrated for its ancient baobab trees and immense elephant families. Wake up early for breakfast before your Wilderness Insights Safaris professional guide drives you from Karatu on a short 40-minute transfer to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend into the caldera for an immersive game drive with packed lunch boxes, tracking the diverse wildlife on the crater floor before ascending and returning to your lodge for an evening of relaxation, dinner, and your overnight stay.
​Enclosed by dramatic volcanic walls, this natural wonder features a breathtaking landscape of shimmering soda lakes, lush wetlands, and open savannas. Once on the crater floor, you will find yourself surrounded by thriving herds of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles, along with hundreds of bird species. The unique habitat also offers your guests the absolute best opportunity to encounter the rare and endangered black rhino roaming the grasslands.

Upon completing your wildlife exploration, we will drive you back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward journey, marking the successful conclusion of your 3-day safari.
