Fly from Zanzibar to Arusha - Game Drive in Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins early in the morning with a transfer from your hotel in Zanzibar to the airport (pick-up time depends on your hotel location) for your 8:00 am flight to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, you will meet your professional driver-guide and begin your journey to Tarangire National Park, located approximately 1.5 hours from Arusha. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights into the culture and traditions of the Maasai people as well as the history of Arusha.

Tarangire National Park is famous for its rich biodiversity, breathtaking landscapes, and impressive elephant population. During your game drive, you may spot lions hunting across the plains or leopards relaxing in the branches of ancient trees.

You will enjoy a packed lunch inside the park before continuing your wildlife adventure. The game drive concludes at around 4:00 pm, after which you will be transferred to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Game Drive in Ngorongoro Crater - Flight Back to Zanzibar

After breakfast at 6:00 am, you will drive to Ngorongoro for an early game drive inside the crater. The early start offers the best views and the most active wildlife.

Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the world's largest unbroken caldera and recognized as one of Africa’s Natural Wonders. It is home to around 30,000 large mammals, including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, as well as many bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. You can expect to see a wide range of wildlife within a short time.

The game drive will end in the afternoon, followed by a transfer to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 pm flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your driver will take you back to your hotel.
