Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Depart Arusha in the morning for Tarangire National Park, a scenic wildlife gem famous for its iconic giant baobab trees and stunning savanna landscapes. This park features the magnificent Tarangire River, which acts as a vital permanent water source that draws an abundance of wildlife during the dry seasons.
​You will enjoy an extensive, action-packed game drive spotting Tanzania’s largest elephant herds, migratory wildebeests, zebras, and various predators. After a scenic picnic lunch overlooking the river, you will drive up the Great Rift Valley escarpment to Karatu for dinner and overnight at a comfortable mid-range lodge.

Karatu to Central Serengeti

After an early breakfast, you will depart Karatu and drive toward the legendary Serengeti National Park, crossing the stunning Ngorongoro Highlands. You will enter the Central Serengeti (Seronera valley), an area world-famous for its year-round abundance of wildlife, classic savanna scenery, and high concentration of big cats like lions, leopards, and cheetahs.
​Enjoy an afternoon game drive exploring the central plains and searching the rocky kopjes for resting predators. After tracking diverse wildlife and enjoying a picnic lunch on the way, you will arrive at your mid-range safari camp or lodge in the central region for a rewarding dinner and overnight stay.

Central Serengeti to Karatu

Wake up for an early morning game drive in the Central Serengeti to witness the wilderness at its most active time, catching predators as they finish their nightly hunts. You will continue exploring different loops of the Seronera valley, tracking resident plains game, and enjoying the beautiful morning light across the endless savannas.
​After a picnic lunch inside the park, you will begin your journey back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will enjoy a scenic game drive en route, eventually climbing back up into the forested crater highlands to arrive at your mid-range lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha/JRO Airport

Descend 600 meters early in the morning into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, an unbroken volcanic caldera hosting over 25,000 large mammals. This breathtaking crater floor offers a unique self-contained ecosystem where you can view diverse wildlife roaming across open grasslands, swamps, and acacia forests.
​Enjoy spectacular, up-close game viewing with exceptionally high chances of spotting the complete Big Five, including the rare and endangered black rhino. You will have a memorable picnic lunch by the scenic hippo pool before ascending the crater walls and transferring back to Arusha or straight to Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) for your departure flight.
