Your safari begins with pick-up from Nairobi. Drive north through Kenya's fertile central highlands, passing coffee, tea and pineapple plantations as you make your way towards the Aberdare region. Arrive at Aberdares region in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon and evening, enjoy game viewing from the lodge's floodlit waterholes where animals such as elephants, buffaloes, bushbucks and occasionally leopards come to drink. As darkness falls, continue watching the fascinating wildlife activity from the lodge's viewing lounge before dinner.

After breakfast, depart for the Lake Nakuru National park via the Great Rift valley. Travel through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley with a stop at a scenic viewpoint to admire panoramic views of the escarpment and valley floor. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in the park, famous for its rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, lions, buffaloes. Drive along the lakeshores where seasonal flamingo populations create stunning pink fringes around the lake. Visit Baboon cliff and other view points for spectacular photographs. After an early breakfast, spend a full day exploring Lake Nakuru. Morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent chances to spot both black and white rhinos, tree-climbing lions, and large herds of buffalo and antelope. Enjoy picnic lunch at a designated site inside the park while exploring hidden viewpoints, waterfalls and acacia woodlands. Continue with afternoon game viewing in search of elusive leopards and large herds of buffaloes. Bird enthusiasts can look forward to spotting pelicans, cormorants, African fish eagles, kingfishers and many other species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast depart for Samburu National Reserve. Journey north across the equator and through changing landscapes that gradually transform from fertile highlands into the dramatic semi-arid terrain of northern Kenya. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve. The reserve is famous for its unique wildlife species collectively known as the Samburu Special Five - Grevy's Zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx and gerenuk. Ewaso Nyiro River, which flows through the reserve, attracts elephants, lions, leopards, crocodiles and countless bird species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight beneath the African stars.

Full day in Samburu National Reserve

Begin the day with an early morning game drive when predators are most active. Watch the sunrise illuminate the rugged hills and riverine forests while searching for lions, cheetahs and leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast and some leisure time before heading out again for an extended game drive. Explore different sections of the reserve and follow the Ewaso Nyiro River, where elephants frequently gather to drink and bathe. The reserve's relatively low visitor numbers allow for an exclusive safari experience away from the crowds. Enjoy a picnic lunch then later continue searching for Samburu's unique wildlife and enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
